Rafa Pabön is a Puerto Rican rapper, songwriter, producer, and activist who is deeply committed to broadening the scope and reach of urban music by fusing it with other Latin genres such as rumba, salsa, and cumbia.
His career has taken off and continues to grow day by day since the release of his debut LP "Vida Respira" in 2015. Pabön has appeared in dozens of videos and worked on over 40 recordings. During 2018, he worked on projects such as "Ta To Gucci", which got over 200 million views on YouTube in its "Remix" version, and "Por la Forma en que Me Miras", which received over 600 million views. In 2019, he co-wrote and performed along with Dalex in “Pa Mi” which went on to obtain over a billion streams worldwide and break into the Top 40. That same year, he released 16 more singles, including the hit "Jangueo", which he co-wrote with Alex Rose. The following year, he released Spain’s number one hit "A Güiro". True to his principles, he also released "Sin Aire", a song in which he protests against racial discrimination. Following this, Rafa collaborated on several songs from Rauw Alejandro’s album "Vice Versa", and worked on the composition of the song "Todo de Ti", which became "the most listened song of the summer 2021 in Spain and third worldwide," according to GQ magazine. In, he received a Latin Grammy nomination for this work.This work earned him a Latin Grammy nomination in 2021, another for "Composer of the Year" at the 2022 Tu Música Urbano Awards and an ASCAP award.
Furthermore, Pabón is currently working on his first studio album with the 28 times GRAMMY & Latin Grammy (combined)-winning music producer Eduardo Cabra.
