Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra

Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra, born from the vibrant Tokyo street and club scene in the late 1980's, embarked on a musical journey that would redefine the ska genre. Their very first independent release, the iconic "TOKYO SKA PARADISE ORCHESTRA", with its now famous yellow jacket, was released in 1989. Rapidly gaining fame with their electrifying live performances, they made their major debut in 1990 with their single "Monster Rock" and the album "Sukapara Tojo". Their Tokyo-flavored ska music, a playful and diverse take on traditional ska, resonated deeply with audiences, leading to a sold-out performance for over 10,000 fans at the legendary Nippon Budokan in 1991, just a year after their major debut.

As the years rolled on, Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra's influence expanded beyond Japan's borders. Their 2002 album, "Stompin' on DOWN BEAT ALLEY", achieved remarkable success, selling half a million copies in Japan and topping local charts. International recognition followed as they embarked on global tours, becoming icons at renowned festivals like Glastonbury, Eurokeenes, Bonnaroo, and making history as the first Japanese act to grace the main stages of Coachella and Vive Latino. Celebrating their 25th anniversary in 2014 with a nationwide tour and their 19th studio album, "Tokyo Ska Forever", the band continues to defy expectations, challenging and delighting audiences worldwide with their ever-evolving musical expertise.
